Repurposed Jewellery | Preserving memories one diamond at a time!
Monee had lost her father in the last few years and wanted to create something special with a diamond she had given him many years ago. It was very special to her and she wanted to find a way to use it so she could wear it every day and be reminded of him. She had also inherited a ton of smaller diamonds from a dear friend that she helped nurse through cancer. It’s always a good problem to have when you have too many stones!
We went through a few meetings discussing the direction she wanted to go in. After a lot of thought she decided that instead of a single ring, she would prefer to have some stackable rings made. She didn’t want anything to look like an engagement ring and she really wanted her Dad’s star diamond to be the star and main focus.
The biggest challenge I face when repurposing pieces is trying to recycle as much of the original materials as possible so it limits what actually needs to be purchased by the client. After doing a very detailed inventory of all of her stones, I came up with a plan for 5 rings using all of Monee’s gold/diamonds. She had the luxury of having a lot of different sizes to choose from so that made my job a lot easier. I also created some pieces in 2 tone gold to mix things up.
The final product was better than I could have imagined. Stackable rings are great as they are so versatile – you can mix and match and literally wear a different look every day! Monee was thrilled with the final result.
I love what I do and having a happy and satisfied client is icing on the cake for me.
This piece is an example of one of my Repurposed Sentimental Jewellery pieces.

Awesome experience meeting Jennifer and having her create my beautiful rings. Using gold and diamonds that are very special to me I look at them and smile, I think of my Dad and it warms my heart. Thank you, thank you.
