Upcycled Jewellery from Heirloom China
Class Date: Saturday July 15th
Time: 9:30 – 4:30pm
Instructor: Jennifer Wolfe / Katlyn Sumpton
Class Outline:
Do you have some of Grandma’s favorite china sitting in a cupboard or broken in a drawer? Why not transform it into an upcycled piece of jewellery.
Join us for a 1-day workshop where students have the option of using their own sentimental heirloom china to upcycle into a bezel set ring or pendant or select from china patterns available in studio.
Students will learn how to cut their china (round shapes only) if you’d like an oval shaped stone, you will have to drop off ahead of class so it can be precut. Students will learn how to solder a bezel, create either a ring or pendant and learn how to set their china stone.
Previous soldering experience recommended.
Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back.
