Advanced Lapidary skills & Metalsmithing

Date: Monday September 11, 18th, 25th & October 2nd
Time: 6:00 to 9:00 pm

Class Outline: In this 4 week class, students will be introduced to more advanced lapidary skills – the methodology of stone on stone or the layering of metal on top of stones, flat lapping, core drilling, inlay and stone lamination. Elevate your jewellery pieces to the next level with these advanced techniques. You will learn techniques on how to properly core drill your stones, create specialty bezels and how to properly mount your layers.
Students will make1-2 jewellery pieces of their choice incorporating these techniques. Students will be given a total of 15 grams of silver, additional silver is available for purchase.
Previous lapidary and soldering experience preferred.
Payment Details
Workshop Fee: $390.00 +HST per person, includes kit fee for materials.

A signed waiver will be required to proceed in any workshop.
Minimum age of workshop participation is 16.
Minimum 2 students must be registered for the course to run. Maximum 4 students total.
Class Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, please let us know 5 days prior to the class. Cancellations made later than that will forfeit the class deposit or fee.
We may re-schedule or cancel classes if we do not receive the minimum number of bookings, or in case of bad weather or instructor illness. In this case, you will be notified and the fees will be refunded.
